Visitors born in Afghanistan do not require a visa.[4] All visitors are required to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs upon arrival.[4] The U.S. government forced all Afghan diplomatic missions in the U.S. to close in March 2022. Applicants must now obtain a visa from a mission in another country,[7][8][5] unless applying for a visitor eVisa online. Since 2024, the Taliban only accepts visas issued by approved diplomatic missions, though those who have already entered on a visa issued by another mission are allowed
