VisaBuddy provides general, indicative information about visa requirements between countries, aggregated from publicly available sources (principally Wikipedia, which cites embassies and IATA Timatic). It is not legal, immigration, travel or financial advice and creates no advisory or professional relationship.
Important: Visa rules change frequently and without notice and depend on your individual circumstances (passport type, purpose of travel, dual nationality, prior travel, etc.). Information shown may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. You must independently verify all information with the relevant embassy, consulate or official government authority before making any travel or other decision. Any reliance on the Service is entirely at your own risk.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) and able to enter a contract. The Service is not directed at children.
Sign-in is provided through third-party identity providers (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn). Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, for which we are not responsible. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account and associated data at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate any account at our discretion.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service unlawfully; (b) scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content; (c) overload, disrupt, probe or attempt unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure; (d) reverse engineer or circumvent security; (e) resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent; or (f) misrepresent your identity or infringe others' rights.
The Service, its design, code and branding are owned by us or our licensors. Visa-requirement content is derived from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) licence; Wikipedia does not endorse the Service. Country flag images are in the public domain. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence for personal, non-commercial use.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any visa information is correct, current, complete or applicable to your situation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our operators, contractors and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, travel costs, missed travel, denied boarding, denied entry, visa fees, fines or other losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any reliance on its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for this free service, CHF 0), or (b) the minimum amount permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and complies with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service and may change these Terms at any time; material changes will be posted with an updated effective date and continued use constitutes acceptance. We may terminate access for any reason, including breach. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The competent courts at the operator's seat in Switzerland shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
